A tribute to Bermuda’s musical greats will be held today on the steps of City Hall in Hamilton.“Music Expressions” will feature artists such as June Caisey, Papa D, John Burch and Cleveland Simmons. It includes a salute to the Bermuda Entertainment Union and others who support Bermuda’s artists.Mr Simmons said the performance, from 2pm to 4pm, was a fitting end to Black History Month. He said: “We’re talking about musical black history. Our musical history in Bermuda goes on and on.“Ultimately we think there should be a memorial or plaque in City Hall to recognise all the musicians and entertainers who have done so much for the island.”
