A hotel restaurant has relaunched its kerbside pick-up service with the help of a new website.Huckleberry Restaurant and Rosedon Hotel opened their new web-enabled storefront at the weekend after six weeks of development. The restaurant will also launch the Cook with HB menu, which will feature meal kits for people to make at home. The service was created by a team from the restaurant which stayed at the Pitts Bay Road, Pembroke hotel over the shelter in place regulations.A spokesman said: “One major upside to having a team on property in isolation for six weeks has been the ability to self evaluate and brainstorm in a way that we would never have been able to do in a normal operating environment.“We pushed ourselves to figure out how we could pivot our operation while staying true to our ethos for sea and farm-fresh ingredients, speciality diet requirements, and creative culinary excellence.“We also focused on how we could double down on our commitment to Bermuda’s environment and community.”The takeaway menu includes smoked meats and southern US-style dishes such as collard greens and smoked maple glazed carrots. The website will also sell baked goods and desserts from the HB Bakery. All transactions will be carried out online to maintain a “contact-free environment”.Orders can be made at HuckleberryBDA.com
