The Bermuda Musical & Dramatic Society (BMDS) proudly presents its latest production, The Trials & Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Wife by Del Shores, Joe Patrick Ward and Sharyn Lane, opening on Thursday, May 4th.

Del Shores, that grand master of Southern lowlife sensibilities, once again culled his Texas roots and came up with a winner. Down but not out, Willadean Winkler attempts to transcend the mean existence inflicted on her by cruel-to-the-bone hubby J.D.

Del Shores manages to fully explore Willadean’s horrific plight while infusing the work with such hilarity the audience is often reduced to tears and laughter within the same breath.

Directed by Nicola Flood and produced by Theresa Hall, the show will star Stephen Notman (J D Winkler), Brooke Burfitt (Willadean Winkler), Kelly Gilmour (Rayleen Hobbs), Samantha Smith (La Sonia Robinson), Sheila Smith (Blues Singer) and Tom Ray (Pianist).

This show is for a mature audience only, aged 18 and over, due to the strong adult language and difficult content.

Showtime is at 8pm each night and the show will run from Thursday, May 4th until Saturday, May 6th and then from Thursday, May 11th until Saturday, May 13th.

Tickets are $30 and available at www.pTix.bm or from the box office one hour before each show.

For more information, contact Theresa Hall at bmdssecretary@gmail.com.
