Axis Insurance has named a new executive vice-president of commercial management solutions.

Mark Paccione, formerly a senior vice-president in the same specially for the company’s northeast region, will lead the Axis team responsible for commercial public and private directors’ and officers’ liability, employment practices, fiduciary liability and crime products. He will be based in New York.

John Van Decker, president, North American professional lines for Axis Insurance, said: “Mark is an experienced leader with a broad background and proven track record in professional liability insurance.

“He brings a unique contribution of management, underwriting and distribution knowledge necessary to navigate in a challenging market.

Axis Insurance is owned by Bermudian-based insurer and reinsurer Axis Capital Holdings.
