Bermuda suffered a 16-5 defeat against USA South before beating Jamaica 21-7 on the opening day of the Rugby Americas North Under-19 Championship on Saturday.

Alex Doyling scored Bermuda’s try against USA South while Ben Crayford, Tommy Westhead and Ja’kee Simons were on the mark against Jamaica. Jamin Hodgkins kicked three conversions.

Also competing at the regional tournament are Cayman Islands and Trinidad & Tobago.
