Local runners compete in Toronto race

Martina Olcheski-Bell placed seventh in the women’s 30-34 category in Toronto at the weekend

Several local runners took part in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon/Half Marathon at the weekend.

Christopher Harris and Martina Olcheski-Bell both competed in the full marathon, Harris placed 71st overall in a time of 2hr 46min 04sec. Harris was third in the men’s 45-49 age division and was the 55th fastest man.

Olcheski-Bell placed seventh in the women’s 30-34 category in 3:18:28. She finished 457th overall and was the 69th fastest woman.

Competing in the half-marathon, Andrew Simons finished 120th in 1:23:13. He came seventh in the men’s 35 to 39 division and was the 108th fastest man.
