Back in action: Flora Duffy

Flora Duffy will be among the star attractions competing in the Beijing International Triathlon Olympic-distance race on Sunday.Joining the Bermudian in the professional women’s field are former world champion Non Stanford, of Britain, Canadian Paula Findlay, who won the race in 2017, and Olympians Carolina Routier, of Spain, and Lucy Hall, of Britain.“Next stop Beijing for the @beijing_tri,” Duffy wrote on Instagram on Wednesday. “It will be my fourth time to Beijing but first time doing this event. Look forward to racing again.”Duffy continued on the comeback trail after a 12-month foot injury with a third-place at the Banyoles ITU World Cup — the second tier triathlon series — in the north of Spain last month. She made her long-awaited return at the Tokyo Olympic Test Event in August, winning in controversial fashion after British leaders Jessica Learmonth and Georgia Taylor-Brown were disqualified for causing a deliberate tie.The 32-year-old followed up with another solid performance at the World Triathlon Series Grand Final last month, finishing the Olympic-distance race in fifth.Duffy is scheduled to race at the Xterra World Championships in Kapalua, Hawaii, on October 28, as she bids for her fifth title, having won in 2014 to 2017.
