Nandi Outerbridge, the Minister of Social Development and Sports, has congratulated the organisers and young players that took part in the annual Kappa Classic last weekend.

About 1,000 youngsters from more than 80 teams competed in the three-day tournament held at North Field and BFA Field.”

“This sort of event exemplifies the benefits of both sports and social development, and I could not be prouder of all the young people who took part,” Outerbridge said.

“I know how much they, and their supporters, look forward to this event.”

She added: “I am the assistant coach of an under-eight team, so I know how many hours are volunteered for sports, from coaches and referees to carpool drivers and line markers.”
