Titans head for Toronto FC camp

Toronto-bound: Paget Lions Youth Programme

A group of young footballers have waved “bon voyage” and departed for a weeklong football trip to Toronto.

Paget Titans Youth Programme flew out on Saturday for their third trip abroad, this time heading to Canada to take part in the Toronto FC summer camp.

The 13 players, all between the ages of 7 and 13, will attend training camps from 8am to 3pm throughout the week.

Outside of training, the children will have team- building exercises and leisure times such as laser tag, a Toronto FC football match, visiting Niagara Falls and attending amusement parks like Canada’s Wonderland. Robert Lee, the president of Paget Titans, told The Royal Gazette he hopes that the children “experience how people do football outside Bermuda”, and has confidence that the children will get an idea of how their skills compare to those of other youngsters.
