Lambe and Carlisle settle for a point

Share of the spoils: Carlisle winger Reggie Lambe

Reggie Lambe’s Carlisle United had to settle for a point at home to Morecambe in the Sky Bet League Two today.

The Bermuda winger picked up a yellow card in the 77th minute and was replaced a minute later by Jamie Devitt.

Adam Campbell, a former Carlisle loanee, missed a late penalty for struggling Morecambe, hitting the crossbar in the 84th minute after a Jack Bonham challenge had been penalised.

Midfielder Kelvin Etuhu gave Carlisle the lead early in the second half before defender Steven Old levelled for Morecambe in the 72nd minute.

Carlisle are fourteenth in the table, five points adrift of the play-offs.

In the English non-League, goalkeeper Jahquil Hill and midfielder Milan Butterfield helped Rushall Olympic to a 1-0 win at home to Mickleover Sports in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

Butterfield, on loan from League One side Walsall, sent a 25-yard effort just over the bar in the first half.

Meanwhile, Jonté Smith, the Bermuda striker, came on at half-time as Lewes lost 3-1 at home to Truro City in the Buildbase FA Trophy.

Truro scored three first half through Chris Todf, Tyler Harvey and Andrew Neal, while William Medlock pulled a goal back for Lewes just before half-time.

Smith started on the bench despite bagging a brace in the league leader’s 3-2 win at home to Thamesmead Town in the Bostik League South Division last weekend.
