Mêlée forces match to be abandoned

On target: Dion Stovell

St David’s and Somerset Eagles both lost ground on the top three teams in the First Division, while Devonshire Colts had their match with Wolves abandoned after 75 minutes after a mêlée broke out between players from both teams at Devonshire Recreation Club.

Colts were leading 3-0 at the time on goals from Teneko Eve (2) and Cameron Coffey.

Tyrell Burgess (penalty), Quintonio Lowe, Antonio Carvelho and Lequan Thomas accounted for BAA’s other goals, while John Tucker scored a late consolation for the winless Parish.

Southampton Rangers thrashed St David’s 5-0 at Lord’s to remain unbeaten. Donte Brangman netted in the 25th, 50th and 60th minutes, while Ezekiel Stoneham and Maquel Nisbett-Tankard supported with goals in the 40th and 87th minutes for the visiting side. Paget still lead BAA by two points while Rangers are another point behind in third place.
