The Bermuda Under-17 girls team bounced back from an 8-0 defeat to an under-19 select team on Wednesday to beat Montverde Academy 3-1 in their second match in Florida yesterday.

Jaden Masters gave Bermuda the lead late in the first half. The home side equalised soon after the restart, before substitute LeiLanni Nesbeth netted twice to secure the win for Bermuda.

Nesbeth started on the bench as she is recovering from a slight injury.

The team, under head coach Aaron Denkins, spent the week in Florida training and playing a couple of matches in preparation for the Concacaf Under-17 Championship in April in Nicaragua. They have been placed in group B, alongside the United States, Costa Rica and Canada. The team will return home this evening.
