Jonté Smith scored his side's second goal

Jonté Smith, the Bermuda striker, netted in Lewes’ 3-1 win away to Ashford United in the Bostik League South Division yesterday.

Smith struck in the 78th minute to give the league leaders a two-goal advantage, having taken the lead through Frankie Chappell in the eighteenth minute.

James Hammond added a third in the 80th minute before Smith was replaced in the 82nd minute by Omarr Lawson.

Dean Grant scored a consolation goal for the home side from the penalty spot.

Danté Leverock’s Narva Trans drew 2-2 at home to Nomme Kalju in the Estonian top flight yesterday.

The Bermuda defender, who signed for Narva Trans in January, made a dream start to life at his new club, scoring in their 5-0 away win to Kuressaare in their Premier League opener last weekend.

Meanwhile, Reggie Lambe’s Carlisle United drew 1-1 away to Exeter City in the Sky Bet League Two yesterday.

The Bermuda captain came on as a 65th-minute substitute for Luke Joyce.

Dean Moxey gave the home side the lead three minutes before the end of a first half.

But Carlisle took advantage of a defensive mistake to level through substitute Ashley Nadesan in the 64th minute and extend their unbeaten streak to five matches.

Carlisle are four points off the play-offs in tenth place.
