Europa joy for Parfitt-Williams

Djair Parfitt-Williams came on as a second-half substitute in Rudar Velenje’s 3-0 win over Tre Fiori in the second leg of the Europa League first-round qualifiers yesterday.

Klemen Bolha, Vlatko Simunac and Abu Kamara scored second-half goals to give the Slovakian side a 10-0 victory on aggregate.

Forward Parfitt-Williams scored against their San Marinese opponents in the 7-0 win in the first leg.

Meanwhile, Zeiko Lewis was an unused substitute in FH’s 0-0 draw at home to Finland’s Lahti in their second-leg first-round qualifier yesterday.

The winger was also an unused substitute in his Icelandic side’s 3-0 win away to Lahti in the first leg last week.

Danté Leverock’s Narva Trans suffered a 3-1 defeat at home to Zeljeznicar Sarajevo in the second leg of their first-round qualifier on Wednesday. Narva Trans, of Estonia, lost 5-1 on aggregate.

Nahki Wells’s Burnley will face Scottish outfit Aberdeen in the Europa League second-round qualifiers. The Premier League side are away to Aberdeen next Thursday before playing host to the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership runners-up on August 2.
