Berkeley to feature in three senior finals

School football is set to take centre stage as the Bermuda School Sports Federation host its annual Knockout Cup at North Field, National Sports Centre.The 12 semi-finals will be played today with all nine finals taking place tomorrow. The Senior School divisions have already taken place with Berkeley Institute set to feature in all three finals. Berkeley defeated Warwick Academy 5-0 in the under-16 semi-final on Monday. Berkeley had five different scorers in the win with Camaje Easton, Niyan Outerbridge, Kahzi Sealey, Imanzi Bascome and Kyinde Mallory all finding the net. Saltus Grammar School came back from a two-goal deficit in the other semi-final to win 4-2 over CedarBridge Academy. Chayse Tanner scored two for Saltus with Cody Robinson and Tre Burgess also scoring. Zijae Jones and Rychus Symonds were on target for CedarBridge. League champions Saltus Grammar School beat CedarBridge Academy 6-0 in the girls’ semi-final. Noah Autmezguine scored twice for Saltus with Emily Cabral, Massassi Smith, Koa Goodchild and Lindsey Pacheco all scoring. Jerlayah Kenny bagged a brace to lead Berkeley to a 2-1 victory over Warwick Academy with Tayla Crichlow scoring the consolation goal. Berkeley reached their third final when their over-16 team recorded a 5-1 win over Mount Saint Agnes Academy. Isaiah Blankendal scored twice for the league leaders while Kambre Robinson, Tre McCallan and Zakiyah Lee also got on the scoresheet. Ryan Lopes scored for MSA. Anthony Smith strike was all CedarBridge Academy needed to get past Saltus Grammar School 1-0 in the other semi-final.
