Vance Brown will be putting family loyalties to one side when his Devonshire Cougars side take on Somerset Trojans in the Premier Division tomorrow.Cougars host Somerset Trojans at Devonshire Rec, with Brown facing his uncle Dennis for the second time. Cougars edged Trojans 2-1 in the reverse game at Somerset Cricket Club in October. However, the Cougars coach insists the family rivalry only ensues off the field, and it is all about the players upon kickoff.“The family rivalry is only off the field,” he said. “On the field, it is 11 versus 11.”Brown said his side must go into the match with a positive mindset, after being knocked out of the FA Cup by North Village last weekend.“We must go into this game with a renewed attitude,” he added. “We need to go out there believing we can win the game.“If we take more chances, we will come out with better results.”Premier Division leaders North Village host bottom side Boulevard at Bernard Park tomorrow.Despite the gulf in their positions within the standings, Village coach Kenny Thompson believes it will be a difficult game, as he focuses on each match as it comes.“There are no easy games,” he said. “Every team brings its own challenges, so we must be ready to perform.“We look at games on a weekly basis and try to improve on each match. “You cannot predict results in football, you just have to focus on each match.“We try to add layers on top of the previous performance. We are constantly progressing, and that is very important.”“We place a lot of demands on the players. We are enjoying the work we put into each game. I think the team has shown a lot of strength.”Meanwhile, Somerset Eagles striker Tahj Wade is adamant his side must treat every game as a final if they’re to secure the league status, ahead of facing PHC Zebras at White Hill Field.“The league is fairly close,” he said. “We are just gonna take it one game at a time. We have seven finals left.“We will go out with a positive attitude on Sunday, but we know PHC are a strong side.“I believe if we remain focused for ninety minutes and stick to our plan, we can get a good result.”The final Premier Division game tomorrow pits Dandy Town against X-Roads at St John’s Field.
