And walking away winners were Saltus Junior School's Ryan Brining, Dellwood's Kristin Brangman and Warwick Academy's Kurt James in the Primary, Middle and Senior School classes respectively.

They were presented with a Foundation T-shirt, certificate and lapel pin and their stories are published here today. Thirteen students received Honourable Mentions in the contest and were presented with a certificate and lapel pin.

They were Saltus Junior School's Dylan Cassidy, Nathan Terra, Jamie Hamer, Anna Clark, Andrew Botelho and Tristan Loescher; Paget Primary's Dawn Raynor and Sarah Brum; and Warwick Academy's Darrien Ray, Satina Dillas, Shampagne Simmons, Janai Caldwell and Karen Watts.

Foundation director/administrator Michael Fox thanked the Education Department for supporting the initiative, the teachers for providing the opportunity for discussion and students who took part.
