Track newcomer Google Me moved up a time bar while owner-driver Tyler Lopes extended his dominant form during the last round of harness racing at the Bermuda Equestrian Centre.

The Indianan-bred filly advanced from the 1:10/1 – 1:17/1 division after posting a 1min 09sec flat and 1:09/4 in the second and seventh heats at the Vesey Street racetrack last Friday.

Google Me is among a trio of two-year-old ponies racing for the first time at the Devonshire facility this season, the others being Daniel Greenslade’s pony War Machine, also bred in Indiana, and Edward Roque’s Bermudian-bred pony, Something Royal.

Lopes has racked up more victories than any other driver this season and that trend continued as the grandson of former harness president, David Lopes, posted five heat wins on four different ponies.

As well as his two victories with Google Me, the talented driver had one with his grandfather’s gelding, Pastor Paul, another with last season’s top pony Cherokee’s Ironman as well as one with Whited Family’s mare, IC’s Overextended.

Lopes also posted the night’s fastest time of 1:04 flat with Arnold Manders’s gelding Cherokee’s Ironman and IC’s Overextended which broke the mare’s track record this month.

Six drivers managed multiple victories last Friday.

Zinho Cooper picked up two victories and got a leg out of the 1:17/2 & slower division with colt Rock On, while Damian Tucker equalled the feat with Inwood Stables’ 11-year-old gelding Brona’s Mike in the 1:08/1 – 1:10 division.

Kirista Rabain had two wins on the way to getting a leg out of the 1:06 – 1:07 division with mare Reel Patriol, while fellow women’s driver Andrea Westerfield also had two victories at the helm of Edward Roque’s stallion Park Ranger, which got a leg out of the 1:08/2 – 1:10 division.

Kiwon Waldron was the remaining driver with two wins which he achieved with Aaron Sims’s mare Skyway Majestic which got a leg out of the 1:07/2 – 1:08/1 division.
