Bermuda have sent a team of four athletes to compete at the Bisfed America’s Boccia Championships in Cali, Colombia.

Yushae DeSilva-Andrade, Steve Wilson, Omar Hayward and Rechai Young will take part in the championships, which started yesterday and finishes on Sunday.

DeSilva-Andrade became a Paralympian when she represented Bermuda at the Rio Games last summer, while Young will be making his international debut.

DeSilva-Andrade became the first Bermudian to finish on the podium at an international boccia tournament, winning bronze at the ISFed Regional Open Championships in Montreal in May.

Also competing in Montreal were Hayward and Wilson.
