BSSF All-Stars take centre stage

Three hundred of Bermuda’s top student athletes will take part in eleven different matches in three sports during the 2018 Bermuda School Sports Federation’s All-Star weekend.

The action begins today at Mount St Agnes gymnasium with the senior schools all-star volleyball matches.

The netballers will be in action tomorrow at the Bermuda College starting at 6pm with the primary schools match. Saturday will be the long running football all-star matches when the East take on the West at the National Sports Centre starting at 11am with the primary school girls match.

The final match, the senior boys, will start at 6.45.

In volleyball today, the boys will play at 5.00 with champions Warwick Academy joining forces with CedarBridge Academy and Berkeley Institute to challenge a strong East team consisting of tournament runners-up Mount St Agnes and undefeated league winners Saltus Grammar.

The girls match will start at 6pm and also promises to be a competitive and action packed encounter.

The West will comprise of tournament and league winners Mount Saint Agnes, Warwick Academy and Berkeley Institute. Saltus, the league and tournament runners up, will be joined by Bermuda High School and CedarBridge Academy on the East team.

Girls East (coach Lesley White): Sy McPeek, Alexa Saldok, Lindsay Pacheco (Saltus Grammar School) Brijette Basden, Meleah Smith, Kelice Stewart (CedarBridge Academy) Olivia Taylor, Yulia Isaeva and Sophia Stevens (Bermuda High School).

Boys West (coach Mark Hamilton): Ben Barnett, Brady Cordeiro, Kaleb Hamilton, Nick Siese (Warwick Academy) Jorel Smith, Shane Rogers (CedarBridge Academy) Nasir Outerbridge-Woodley, Jazari Caisey (Berkeley Institute).

Boys East (coaches Juanita Blee and Lesley White): Riley Rego, Conor Sinclair, Blake Horseman (Mount Saint Agnes Academy) Dylan Somerville, Connor Somerville, Jack Brown, Tristan Mullan and Neil Figureido (Saltus Grammar School).
