First pitch of softball season

PHC Zebras play Outback Skylights at 9pm on Monday

The softball season is set to get under way on Monday night with the most number of teams since 2010.

Softball Bermuda has 26 teams in five divisions, an increase of six clubs from the 2017 season.

There are eight new teams as two did not return from last year. The new clubs include Hakuna Matata Charters, Sunglass Shop, Platano Power, X-Bats, Buffaloes, Athene Warriors, Sea Venture Mini Mes, and Butterfield & Vallis Sliders.

FIU Scared Hitless take on the X-Bats in the season opener on Monday. Two Women’s Division games follow that, with Angels versus Hardknockz at 7.30pm and PHC Zebras battling Outback Skylights at 9pm.

Games will be played Mondays through Thursdays at Michael Preece Stadium at Bernard Park with tripleheaders every night.
