Ross Caesar believes the best is yet to come after making his professional bodybuilding debut in Ontario, Canada, at the weekend.The six-times “Mr Bermuda” competed at the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness Pro League in Niagara Falls, where he placed eleventh in the men’s classic physique division.“I was fine with my finals placing because I had put no expectations on myself for this competition other than to see how I fit among the other professional athletes,” said Caesar, who is from Barbados.“Now I know that with a few minor adjustments and attention to detail and consistency I can improve in my performance and placings for certain. I will definitely make some adjustments and improvements and compete again in the future.”The Ultimate Fitness Club trainer competed in the same division as Terrence Ruffin, of the United States, who claimed overall honours to qualify for the Joe Weider’s Olympia in Las Vegas next year.“While I was a bit short of my preparation time the overall experience was two thumbs up as I had an opportunity to meet other professional competitors that I’ve only seen or read about,” Caesar added.“It was a wonderful experience and I totally fit in with the other professional competitors who came from all over the world for this event; Australia, Ukraine, Canada, US, Turkey, Korea just to name a few.”Caesar earned an IFBB professional card after capturing the men’s classic physique A class title competing at the Joe Weider’s Olympic Amateur South America in Medellin, Colombia, last February.“Although I initially had doubts if the time was right for my professional debut, I also knew that I shouldn’t put aside for tomorrow what I have the ability to do today,” he said. “I took the plunge and was super happy I did.”
