Competitors from the Bermuda Karate Organisation claimed multiple medals at the John Chung’s World Cup of Martial Arts near Washington DC last weekend.Chung was celebrating 50 years of competing in martial arts and team leader Andrea McKey presented him with a plaque from BKO acknowledging this milestone and his 35 years of support for martial arts in Bermuda.Dominique Brown took third in the intermediate weapons, traditions form and in sparring, Callahj Simons came third third in traditional form and was a finalist in sparring, Kentaro Bean finished first in weapons and form, while Amiel Trott placed third in traditional form.Meanwhile, Rakeysha Robinson was second in traditional form and weapons, Kent Bean came first in form and weapons, Charles Ndiaye claiemd first in form and sparring, while Charles Butterfield took first in form.McKey was first in extreme weapons and form, and second in traditional weapons.McKey and Butterfield both reached the grand champion rounds for form.
