causing the death of a 16-year-old schoolgirl in a bike crash.

Lerone Malcolm Ming, who will be sentenced on February 26, changed his plea to guilty at the beginning of his trial earlier this month.

The 25-year-old, of Ord Road, Paget, admitted driving while disqualified in June 1997 and colliding with another bike being ridden by Zeita Matthews near the Coral Beach Club in Paget.

Miss Matthews suffered serious head injuries and died in hospital two weeks later.

WOMAN ARRESTED CRM HSG Woman arrested A 42-year-old homeless woman has been arrested by Police in connection with two alleged incidents of wilful damage.

The damage was caused to glass front doors at the Children's Clinic and Manchester Hall on Victoria Street in Pembroke on Monday night.

It is alleged that the woman used a concrete block to smash both the doors but entry was not gained to either premises.

GOVT. MPS MEET CON PTL Govt. MPs meet Government ministers gathered at the weekend at the Stonington Hotel to brainstorm on party policy, and to learn the inner workings of government.

At the 31st Annual Progressive Labour Party Symposium, ministers met with other parliamentarians, Senators, party executives, and members of the central committee.

New parliamentarians also attended workshops where they learned how the higher echelons of government operated.

The party hierarchy also formulated policies and other plans to implement during the coming year.

In a press release, PLP public relations' officer Corey Butterfield stated: "We believe this instructional process is vital to the smooth operation of Bermuda, and the maturation of all MPs and Senators.''
