Ascendant the week’s biggest gainer

Shares of Butterfield Bank fell 0.8 per cent in last week's trading on the BSX
Ascendant Group shares climbed 6.5 per cent in a quiet post-Easter trading week on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
The company, owner of power utility Belco, climbed 49 cents to a new 52-week high of $7.99 as 342 shares changed hands.
The most actively traded stock last week was Butterfield Bank, which closed on Friday at $31, down by 25 cents, or 0.8 per cent, as 4,792 shares were exchanged.
Telecoms group One Communications also saw 102 shares trade, as its share price remained unchanged on $2.75.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed the week down 6.52 points, or 0.33 per cent, at 1,930.02. Trading volume totalled 5,542 shares, while turnover topped $153,000.
