Ascendant shares climb 4.2%

Up day: a 30-cent advance for Ascendant Group shares helped lift The Royal Gazette/BSX Index
Shares in utilities firm Ascendant Group today rose 30 cents to $7.50 in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The 4.2 per cent move higher came as 1,000 shares traded.
Insurance company Argus dropped 7 cents, or 1.6 per cent, to $4.23 as 16,500 shares sold.
BAS was unchanged at $3 after 4,432 shares changed hands, while One Communications remained at $2.60 as 91 shares moved.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the Bank of Butterfield fell 54 cents, or 1.7 per cent, to $31.01.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 1.49 points, or 0.08 per cent, at 1,920.12.
The BSX Insurance Index was down 4.79 points, or 0.26 per cent, at 1,836.34.
