The Executive Women’s Golf Association Bermuda team placed second out of 25 teams in the recent Highway Series Tournament in Tampa, Florida, losing by a half point.

The Bermuda Gold team, including Anne Marie Forbes, Cindy Ratzlaff, Liz Carpio, Carol Eastham, Tracey Nash and Victoria Cunningham, put in a strong performance to finish ahead of the EWGA team from Orlando.

This was the second time for Bermuda participating in the tournament, the first time in 2015 when they finished first.

The tournament was held at Innisbrook Golf Resort, which is the home of the PGA Valspar Championship.

Bermuda Gold was sponsored by local company Island Kaddy, a new golf shop on Front Street who donated the team vest.

The next EWGA Highway Series will be at Amelia Island in Jacksonville, Florida, next year. It is a special invite-only event between EWGA Chapters. Participating chapters include: Bermuda, Savannah/Hilton Head Island, Daytona, Jacksonville, Orlando, Space Coast, Palm Beach, and Tampa.
