King's Square will also be closed to vehicular traffic between 9 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
Parking will not be permitted on Water Street, Bridge Street, King Street, Hunter's Wharf, Ordnance Island, or behind the Town Hall building between 9 a.m. and noon.
Parking for spectators will be available at Penno's Wharf car park, while VIP parking will be permitted at the Market Wharf and Dowling's car park on York Street.
Men attack pizza delivery woman Police are investigating a report that a pizza delivery woman was attacked and robbed by three men.
The 23-year-old Southampton woman told Police she was delivering pizzas on West Avenue in Somerset on Monday evening when she was approached by a man who offered to help her with directions.
At the same time, she said, another man grabbed her around her neck, choking her, while a third man stood in front of her, brandishing a stick and demanding money.
The third man took her money and one of the other men took two pizzas from her cycle.
The men then fled in different directions.
THIEF STEALS FROM RETIRED COUPLE CRM Thief steals from retired couple A retired couple recently became the victims of a house thief.
The couple, who live in a Warwick condominium complex, told Police someone broke into their residence during the early hours of Monday morning and stole an undisclosed amount of money and personal items.
A Paget residence was also broken into between Sunday and Monday.
The offender made an untidy search of the premises.
And while nothing was reported stolen from inside the house, the complainant's car was removed.
The car is a white Subaru 800 with licence number 06994.
Police asked that anyone who may have seen the car to report it immediately by calling 295-0011.
APPEAL FOR VISITOR TO CONTACT BROTHER POL Appeal for visitor to contact brother Police yesterday issued an appeal for visitor Mr. James Donnelly to contact his brother Mr. Sean Donnelly due to a family emergency in the US.
Mr. Donnelly was urged to contact his brother at the Intensive Care Unit of St. John's Hospital in Lowell, Massachusetts on (508) 458-1411 or to contact a family member at (508) 454-0134.
MAN CHARGED WITH URDER IN COURT MUR Man charged with murder in court The lawyer for 26-year-old Rudolph West, who was charged with the murder of his estranged wife Rochelle West, yesterday asked for a long form preliminary inquiry into the matter.
West, who is represented by Ms Patricia Harvey, remained somewhat subdued before Magistrate the Wor. Cheryl Ann Mapp in contrast to previous court appearances where he made outbursts, expressing a wish to die.
Mrs. Mapp set aside two days, beginning May 26, for the preliminary inquiry.
West, who is on remand at the Westgate Correctional Facility, could face the death penalty if convicted of the murder of his wife which took place on January 5 at the Chamber of Commerce's headquarters on Front Street where she was a receptionist.
