Class winners seeing double
underway at Coney Island under threatening skies and howling winds.
Because of the poor weather, the schedule was reduced to two races in each class and Jamel Hassell, Kyle Constable, Duprey Joell, Robbie Smith, Maurice Symons and Stephen Panchaud all came away with two wins in their respective classes.
Symons began the trend when he won both PW50 events, with Jakai Brimmer and Garry Cann taking second and third respectively each time.
Symons, in fact, came close to beating the PW80s of Panchaud and Lawrenzo Trott who finished one-two in both of their races.
The 80cc event was mostly a Yamaha affair with Craig Panchaud leading the early laps with Shaki Easton and Howard Paynter. But Jamel Hassell came from mid-pack to take victory and repeated that feat in the second race despite suffering a fall.
Kyle Constable scored his double in the 125C class, beating Jason DeSilva and Stephen Lightbourne into second and third in the first race, and relegating Kemo Simons and Jason DeSilva to second and third in the next.
Robbie Smith dominated the 125B event, winning first from Cory Smith and Devon Moss and then finishing ahead of Buddy Joell and Justin Belboda.
Duprey Joell won the 250cc unchallenged while Chris DeSilva had no competition in the 60cc race.
