Shaquille Dill of Saint Augustine’s University finished eighth in the 800 metres final yesterday at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Dill, who pipped fellow Bermudian Dage Minors on Friday for the eighth spot in the final, recorded a time of 2min 15.02sec, well behind winner Luis Romero of TAMU-Commerce who broke the tape in 1:48.75.

Dill was also eighth in the 400 final in 49.59 seconds while his 4x400 relay team did not reach the final.

Minors was part of a Franklin Pierce University team that placed twelfth in the distance medley on Friday. Minors ran the third leg to help his team record a time of 10:13.32.
