Williams identified as crash victim

Police have identified the island’s latest traffic fatality as 50-year-old Anthony Williams.

In a statement, a police spokesman said: “Mr Williams was seriously injured around 12.30am on Sunday when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a taxi being driven in the opposite direction on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish, near the junction with Harlem Heights Road.

“He was later pronounced dead at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. A family liaison officer has been assigned to assist the Williams family at this difficult time.”

His death is the tenth on Bermuda’s roads so far this year.

Anyone with information about the collision, or who know of Mr William’s movements in the hours leading up to the collision, are urged to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.
