Students network with tech experts

Talking tech: Wayne Scott, the Minister of Education, centre, with attendees at a Technology Leadership networking event at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club

Tech-savvy students got the chance to connect with IT professionals at a networking event in Hamilton.

More than 75 people attended the event at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, run by the Technology Leadership Forum.

Attendees, which included current and past TLF internship programme participants, high school pupils and students studying overseas, got the chance to network and learn more about internships on offer.

Sandra Desilva, chairman of TLF, said at Tuesday’s event: “We are pleased to see such an excellent showing of students and hope that the connections they’ve forged with the industry professionals in attendance will not only assist them throughout their academic journeys but offer guidance towards their ultimate career goals.”

Wayne Scott, the Minister of Education, who spoke to the group, encouraged them to get to know professionals in the field and learn from them.

Anyone interested in a career in technology should go to www.tlf.bm or call 408-3677.
