Salvation Army residents are to be accommodated with families and elsewhere in the shelter as the oldest section of the Parsons Road facility closes for refurbishment.

Head of the Salvation Army Major Lindsay Rowe said yesterday one of the shelter's six dormitories was in need of an urgent facelift, with the Ministry of Works and Engineering agreeing to take on the project which is expected to take about a month.
