HWP Appliance Centre highlights customer service efforts
HWP Appliance Centre service technicians this week completed a comprehensive training programme for Whirlpool appliances as part of the HWP Group's continuing efforts to boost its service departments and develop its personnel.
Electrical Division vice president Tom Nelmes applauded his staff's efforts and thanked Orlando Torres, Whirlpool's regional service manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, for coming to the Island to conduct the training programme at the Island's only authorised Whirlpool dealer.
Mr. Nelmes said: "HWP Group is committed to the development of its people as we recognise it is an essential component of the development of our business. We are very pleased to note that our appliance service and parts department is fully staffed by Bermudians and are excited that we are able to fulfil our role of being good corporate citizens with a responsibility to Bermudians by providing them with the training they require to succeed in their chosen careers."
The service technicians spent three-and-a-half days learning about the new technologies that place Whirlpool appliances among the best in the world and the service skills required to keep those appliances operating optimally. Mr. Torres provided the training personally.
Mr. Torres said: "Appliance service is a very demanding technical trade worldwide and I feel that Bermuda should recognise that the successful completion of this training programme is a feather in the cap for the team of technicians here at HWP."
These skills make HWP the place to buy Whirlpool appliances when you want the reassurance or receiving the best possible after sales service, which is fitting when you remember that they are our only authorised dealer on the Island."
