Officer, suspect take a tumble

A Police spokeswoman reported that the officer was trying to search the man under the Misuse of Drug s Act at around 3.30 p.m. yesterday, but he obstructed him and both ended up tumbling down a small cliff face.
The incident took place at Billy Goat Hill -- otherwise known as Tribe Road Number 1 -- on South Road Warwick and while the cliff face was not particularly high, both men sustained minor face cuts and grazes in the fall.
The man was subsequently arrested.

Fire Service crews rushed to the scene of the accident at Trott Road in Hamilton after 12.30 a.m. and helped the man, who has not been named, to get out of the car.
The Mazda car was extensively damaged, with the roof and both sides of the car smashed in and an axle broken.
But Fire Service spokesman Lt. Lloyd Burchall said the man suffered only minor scrapes to both elbows.

The manager of the English Sports Shop, on Somers Wharf, gave chase but the man and woman managed to flee.
A Police spokesman said a young man was spotted shoving something into his jacket, and left the shop.
The man was described as brown-skinned, five-feet, ten-inches tall and was wearing long grey jeans, a light coloured top and silver-grey crash helmet.
The female was described as five-feet, one-inch tall, and wearing a brown leather jacket and black denim jeans. She had a black and silver helmet.
