Bermudian-based Hamilton Insurance Group has added a new jobs page to its website.

And the firm is highlighting openings for new hires with expertise in analytics and data science.

Jobs listed on the new page include a software developer’s post at Hamilton Re, based in Bermuda and a data scientist, to be based at the Hamilton USA offices in Princeton, New Jersey.

Hamilton human resources head Karen Isaacs said: “At Hamilton, we use a variety of recruitment methods while at the same time complying with local employment requirements.

“For positions that are grounded in analytics and data science, we know there may be candidates who aren’t currently working in insurance or giving the industry itself much thought, so we’ve added social media, including our website, to our hiring toolbox to raise the profile of these and other employment opportunities at the our company.”

In addition to the careers page, Hamilton has introduced a new e-mail address for applications and job-related enquiries — talent@hamiltongroup.com.

Hamilton Insurance Group was set up three years ago by industry veteran Brian Duperreault, in partnership with technology firm Two Sigma to use analytics and research to create underwriting and investment value for clients and shareholders.

The group is the holding company for insurance and reinsurance operations to underwrite property and casualty risks in Bermuda, the US and at Lloyd’s of London.
