The 22-year-old victim from Hamilton Parish had parked her auxiliary cycle at the Parson's Road playground in Pembroke around 9.30 p.m. to wait for a friend.

She was then approached by two men, one of whom was carrying a knife.

The man with the blade demanded that she hand over her money and acted in a threatening manner when she refused.

After she handed the robber her wallet containing cash and bank cards, they allowed her to leave the area.

Both men were described as wearing dark clothing with masks hiding their features.

Female assaulted Harbour Nights festivities turned sour for one girl on Wednesday night when she was assaulted on Front Street.

Police are investigating after the victim claimed she was slapped and dragged to the ground before being repeatedly kicked as she lay there around 9.30 p.m.

She told Police that she became involved in an argument with a group of girls, which led one of them to approach and assault her. The gang then immediately left the scene.

The victim is not believed to have suffered serious injury during the attack, but Police are looking for anyone with information to contact them on 295-0011.

Stolen boat recovered Marine Police have recovered a boat reported stolen from White's Island.

The 16-foot open powerboat was initially reported missing on Wednesday morning after being moored overnight along the Front Street dock in the City of Hamilton.

That same morning, Marine Police received a sighting report from Darrell's Island, and rescue team two attended the scene and were able to retrieve the boat.

It was then towed back to the Marine Section and secured.

Inquiries into who removed the boat are continuing. Anyone with information should call Police on 295-0011.

Arrests in BMDS case Police have arrested two men in connection with the theft of a significant amount of cash, cheques and liquor from the Bermuda Music and Dramatic Society.

A 40-year-old Paget man was arrested shortly before 7 a.m. on Wednesday in Paget, and a 36-year-old Pembroke man was arrested in Hamilton just before 11 a.m. the same day.

Both men were taken to Hamilton Police Station, where they are assisting officers with their inquiries into the theft from the BMDS' Daylesford theatre on Dundonald Street.

School TV stolen Police are investigating another break-in at Prospect Primary School in Devonshire.

The thief broke into one of the classrooms using force sometime overnight on Tuesday and once inside entered a storeroom and stole a TV and VCR unit.

Hotel plan approved Planners approved one stage of the redevelopment of the Castle Harbour Hotel this week.

Permission was granted for one lot and a right of way to Castle Mews Road and Paynters Road. The approval was one of many planning applications submitted as part of the programme that features a golf course, hotel and residential aspect.

Go-ahead for BF&M Insurance company BF&M has received planning in-principle to construct a new building to the west of their current location on Pitts Bay Road.

The new four-storey office building will be located at 110 Pitts Bay Road and the Development Applications Board reserves for its final approval all details relating to design and external appearance of the building and landscaping of the site.
