Development Applications yesteray approved plans for a new parish post office on South Shore Road.

But before final approval can be granted, the board required a phased landscaping scheme which identified the areas to be planted before any building can start.

Furthermore, the board required that Government enter into an agreement with Trimingham's retail shop so that its customers' right to park their cars on the public parking area is maintained. Paget residents have long called for a new post office, saying the present building on Middle Road near the Paget stop lights was too small.

In other DAB news, the board refused the Stirling Company's application for an automotive showroom and service garage on Curving Avenue, because the proposed development exceeds the maximum height and space allowed by law.
