for the realignment of a service road and an Orangerie with a verandah.

Other changes include a new Porte-Cochere, a new staircase for the South Shore Grill and minor landscaping.

The Development Applications Board requires the South Shore Road property to apply for a separate permit before any construction can take place and the entire site must be landscaped.

In other DAB news, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Crane of First Avenue, Devonshire, received approval of their application to change a residential facility into a Nursery for 10-12 children. Before any building can take place a separate building permit must be applied for and received. The facility can take no more than 12 children.

Meanwhile, the DAB also approved an application from Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Weare, of Rosemont Avenue, to change use of a building from a residential to a guest facility.

While the DAB approved the change, the board ruled that a separate application for development associated with the change of use must be submitted and approved. Mr. Bridan Matchman of World Distributors at 41 Victoria Street had his application for a change of use from a printing press to a cycle repair and show room denied.

FACE LIFT -- A multi-million dollar upgrade of the Elbow Beach resort on South Shore in Paget is going full steam ahead. The work on the main hotel building, which will include the construction of a brand new restaurant, meeting rooms and business centre, is set to conclude on May 1 when the hotel will celebrate its 90th anniversary.
