The Seventh Day Adventist Book Centre on King Street in Hamilton had their application to build an extension to their bookstore rejected by the DAB because the proposed addition did not meet City requirements.

"The proposed addition does not satisfy the minimum setback requirement within District I of the City of Hamilton Plan 1984,'' the DAB stated.

But the Board granted approval, in principle, to Norris Pearman to conduct alterations and additions to People's Pharmacy on Victoria Street in Hamilton.

"Those details relating to siting, parking and means of access to the site are hereby approved,'' the Board said.

But the Board reserved its final approval on details like landscaping and the external design of the building.

And the DAB granted approval to Works and Engineering to install a practice bunker at the Ocean View Golf Club in Devonshire.

The Board's approval was given on the condition that a separate building permit be submitted approval and that the remaining Woodland Reserve be protected by a protective fencing before building commences.
