Celebrations for Palm Sunday

Special service: a presentation of palms will be made by the Sunday School at Wesley Methodist Church

TODAY• Peace Lutheran Church: car boot sale from 9am until 2pm. Great bargains in clothes, shoes, bags, toys, household items, books, CDs and DVDs will be on offer. TOMORROW• Wesley Methodist Church: Palm Sunday service led by intern minister David Atwood at 11am. Special presentation of palms by the Sunday School; praise band Leviticus will lead the music. • First Church of God’s Music and Performing Arts Ministry: Reflections at the Cross, an inspiring theatrical, music and dance production which takes a “real” look at today’s issues and how they connect with the pain, sorrow and suffering of centuries past. The performance will take place at 6.30pm. There is no cost, however, donations will be accepted. • Cobb’s Hill Methodist Church: International Day of Remembrance Annual Church Service at 4pm. This annual church service will commemorate the United Nations International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade.Thursday, March 24 • Emmanuel Methodist Church (Southampton): Maundy Thursday a special worship service and message by Rev Gary Clark at 7pm. • Centenary United Methodist Church: Holy Thursday Service at 7pm. The service will feature a portrayal of the High Priest, Caiaphas, that officiated at Jesus’ mock trial. Holy Communion will follow.Friday, March 25• Wesley Methodist Church: Good Friday Worship Service at 11am.
