Food with a Flair:
Fans of Mediterrean cuisine can once again enjoy their favourite specialities at the Mediterraneo Ristorante on Church Street. The restaurant which closed for several months is run by owner and Executive Chef Edmund Smith who also runs Ascots. The downstairs bar has been moved out to the verandah upstairs for large groups to enjoy drinks outdoors. And rather than simply pasta and pizza Mr. Smith said the menu will be livened up with more North African twists such as cumin spiced lamb. Daily specials will be served to gage customer response.
"Our menu has been well-received up to this point, we want to be educated by our patrons and see where this can go," said Mr. Smith.
