Wells hits No 15 in big win for Huddersfield

Wells scored the opener in a 3-1 win over Reading yesterday

Nahki Wells netted his fifteenth goal of the season yesterday as Huddersfield Town scored a 3-1 win at home to Reading yesterday in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Bermuda striker opened the scoring in the 51st minute with a shot from inside the penalty area, before Jamie Patterson made it 2-0 ten minutes later.

Wells was substituted in the 81st minute and his replacement, Florent Bojaj, made certain of the points with the third goal in the 87th minute. Reading pulled a goal back in stoppage time.

As a result of Rotherham United’s upset win over Middlesbrough, Huddersfield remain seven points clear of the relegation zone before their home match with leaders Burnley on Saturday.

Burnley continued their good recent form, which has coincided with Middlesbrough’s dip, with a 3-2 win away to Fulham. Sam Vokes and Andre Gray overturned a half-time deficit.
