Harneys boosts corporate services team

Kim Armstrong

International law firm Harneys has boosted its Bermuda corporate services business with a new hire.

Kim Armstrong has joined the firm’s fiduciary services group as senior corporate administrator.

Ms Armstrong has 16 years’ experience in corporate services, specialising in incorporation, administration of Bermuda exempted mutual funds, hedge funds investment holding and insurance companies.

She had also acted as registrar and transfer agent for companies listed on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

Michael Burns, Harneys fiduciary services managing director in Bermuda, said: “By offering both legal advice and corporate services in Bermuda, Harneys can advise clients on a large range of areas, including compliance, sanctions and complex transactions.

“In the four months since we launched, we have been growing apace and plan to make additional strategic hires in the near future as we expand to meet the needs of our growing client base.”

The international offshore legal firm teamed up with island law firm Hurrion & Associates last October under the Harneys Bermuda banner.

Harneys also delivers a full range of corporate and fiduciary services in the Caymans, British Virgin Islands, Hong Kong and Barbados.

Ross Munro, global head of Harneys fiduciary arm, said: “We continue to grow our private wealth products and services globally and have a distinct advantage in our ability to deliver personalised solutions to meet the requirements of our clients.

“We are pleased to bring our experience to bear in Bermuda and marry this with the island’s stellar reputation.”
