Strong odour prompts care centre closure

A “strong, unpleasant odour” has caused the Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre to close temporarily, the Bermuda Hospitals Board has confirmed.

The pungent smell resulted from floor renovations, prompting the precautionary closure of the St George facility. A BHB spokesperson said that services are expected to resume by the weekend.

“People who experience a medical emergency should go the Emergency Department at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital or call 911,” the spokesperson added.
