Refused cigarette, teen steals jacket

Tyari Harvey, of Crisson Avenue, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to stealing the jacket which featured the American football team Oakland Raiders and was worth $150.
Police prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James said Jason Hollis was attending the Mount Saint Agnes School Fair on October 19 when Harvey asked him for a cigarette.
Hollis declined to give Harvey a cigarette and Harvey left.
When Hollis later went to get on his bike, on Elliott Street, he found Harvey and some friends waiting for him.
They demanded he take off his coat and Harvey then stole it.
Hollis was able to point out Harvey the next day when he went to the Police Station to file a complaint. Harvey, who was at the Station for another matter, admitted committing the offence.
