'An Evening Onboard the Queen of Bermuda' Casino Night Fundraiser in support of The Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art. The event starts at 8 p.m. until midnight. Tickets $85, and are available in advance from Masterworks on 236-2950. No dress code, dress as fancy as desired.

Keep Bermuda Beautiful Walk & Work from Dunkley Dairy, Vesey Street to Railway Trail to Store Hill and back from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The aim is to help raise funds for Bermuda's first environmental charity.

Grand Opening of Plush Beauty & Barber Shop will be celebrated with a Block Party featuring entertainment, food and a hair show featuring styles from the new salon are scheduled at Union Street, Hamilton, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

November 9

In cooperation with the Youth Entrepreneurship Initiative of Bermuda, the Bermuda Small Business Development Corporation (the Host Committee) is pleased to announce its Rocket Pitch competition. The competition, sponsored by HSBC Bermuda, is being run in recognition of the upcoming Global Entrepreneurship Week (November 16 to 22) and is open to all entrepreneurs under the age of 45. Participants will have five to seven minutes to present a 'Rocket Pitch' about their business idea that provides a solution to any local or global challenge of any kind. First, second and third place winners will be chosen and will receive a portion of the $7,500 prize money. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. on November 9, 2009 and may be submitted directly to the BSBDC at Sofia House on Church Street or via e-mail to jlodge@gov.bm.

The Bermuda National Gallery will be showing 'My Backyard' (2007) by Choy Aming. In this movie Mr. Aming explores Bermuda's underwater diversity at 12.30 p.m at the Bermuda National Gallery. They will also be showing Vanz Chapman's film 'Bike' (2009).

November 13

The Bermuda National Gallery (BNG) is holding a book launch of for 'Cross Currents: Impressions of Bermuda, The David L. White Collection', ahead of the upcoming exhibition of paintings from the same collection. at The Bermuda National Gallery, City Hall, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

World Rugby Classic 2009 and the Bermuda Police Rugby Football Club presents The Victoria "Not So Secret Party" at 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. The night of mayhem will take place at Victoria Park, Hamilton. Entertainment by Lucky 13 and DJ Paul. Tickets $25, are available at the door, from BPRFC Members and at the WRC 2009 Stadium.

Lecture on the Documentary Film in Bermuda at the Bermuda College moderated by Dr. Sajni Tolaram, professor of English and Film Studies, with directors featured in the film series at 6.30 p.m.
