BHC to repeat information session
Bermuda Housing Corporation held information sessions at the weekend for prospective homebuyers for the Harbourside Village, Marginal Wharf and St. David's proposed housing developments.
Sessions were held at Victor Scott Primary School.
BHC staff reviewed applications to ensure they were complete and accepted completed applications.
Applicants have until March 1 to return their applications in order to qualify for inclusion in the lottery for the 99 affordable units at Harbourside Village.
BHC general manager Vance Campbell said the one-on-one sessions ensured that any problems are addressed well in advance of the deadline.
A similar session will be held next weekend at Clearwater Middle School in St. David's from 10.30 a.m. until 2.30 p.m.
Application forms can be obtained at the BHC offices at 21 Church Street in Hamilton.
Mr. Campbell said Harbourside Village will consist of 198 units, 99 to be sold to qualified homebuyers for $199,000 while the remaining 99 will be sold at market prices.
Information sessions for the market price units will be held every Thursday during February from noon until 2 p.m. on the veranda of the Public Library on Queen Street.
The 16.6-acre site on either side of St. David's Road will feature two-, three- and four-bedroom townhouses and duplexes and the community will include a playground, a village square with shops, childcare facilities as well as access to a marina and dock.
