Willis promotes Lane to Chicago post

Top Bermuda insurance brokerage executive Robert Lane has been promoted to a new post in Chicago.
Mr. Lane, who had been chief legal counsel and claims and coverage practice leader of Willis' Bermuda office since 2005, has been named executive vice-president of Willis Risk Solutions.
He will be responsible for providing coverage and claims advocacy for the insurance brokerage's unit that serves large, complex clients in North America, the New York-based unit of Willis Group Holdings plc said.
Willis said the appointment aims to grow and strengthen its large-account business in North America.
Mr. Lane will report to Willis Risk Solutions practice leader George Haitsch.
