A woman staying in a Pemrboke home ran screaming into the street after finding an unwelcome visitor under a bed as she watched television Thursday morning.

The 28-year-old Warwick woman, who was staying at the St. John?s Road residence, reported to Police that between 12.30 and 12.40 a.m. Thursday morning an unknown culprit gained entry into the house while she was out.

She returned to the house and sat on the bed to watch television during which time she heard noises coming from under the bed.

Underneath the bed she saw a man lying with his hands covering his face.

The woman ran, screaming, from the house alerting the neighbours and the landlord who came out to investigate.

The suspect was able to escape but the woman described him as a black male, approximately 5 ft. 9 in. tall.

He was wearing blue pants and a navy coloured fleece sweater and black sneakers. The woman said that nothing appeared to be stolen from the residence.
